What are the recommended technical requirements for iDEAS? [top]

To successfully run iDEAS in your classroom, you will need the following components:

1. Projector or tv display for classroom viewing
2. Microsoft Power Point Software (version 2000 and higher)
3. Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 2000 and higher)
4. Adobe Acrobat Reader (free software)

Does the iDEAS software have to be used with simulation? [top]

No! iDEAS is a curriculum system that stands fully on it's own. Any driver education program meeting the above requirements can use iDEAS.

However, iDEAS is a perfect complement to a simulation program. Students will learn very effectively by going throught the iDEAS curriculum in one session and then practicing what they have learned in a simulated environment.

Do I need computers for all my students? [top]

No. The iDEAS software was designed to be run from one Instructor computer. However, if you would like to allow individual students to access the eBOOK section of the software, additional eBOOK licenses are available. See the pricing page for details.

Can I import & export class information?

Yes. The iPACK software allows you to export and import class information to and from a standard excel file.
