Modular Hand Controls

The S-3100 / S-3300 / STARS Modular Simulators offer optional hand controls that allow for the operation of the accelerator and brake using a traditional-style push / twist or push / pull method of operation.

These hand controls can be used by disabled or handicapped operators to practice driving in a safe and controlled environment. They also allow the OT or CDRS to assess the capabilities of the operator and provide for additional training.

To adapt to multiple users the unit can quickly switch from push / pull (push brake, pull accelerator) to a push / twist (push brake, twist accelerator) at a flip of a switch.

The unit also converts to left or right hand operation by simply rotating the unit from one side to the other by releasing the quick-latch system.

The hand controls can be used with any S-3100 / S-3300 / STARS system with no modification to either the software or hardware.

To install the unit, simply mount to the front support holes of the console chassis.  The unit plugs into the same port as the modular foot pedals.

The unit can be quickly removed or added as needed to allow for the simulator to be configured with the Foot Pedal Module or the Hand Control Module as desired.
